EthioDirect: App announced by Commercial Bank of Ethiopia

The Commercial Bank of Ethiopia has announced “EthioDirect,” an application for moving or transferring money abroad.

Ato Abe Sano, President of the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia, pointed out that on the official launch of “EthioDirect,” this digital payment system is up-to-date and cutting-edge and is now launched. The platform is to implement a modern digital money transfer method.

About EthioDirect Features

The application is safe and secure, and it is a modern way for customers to send money to friends and family free of charge at any given time, and anywhere they want. Customers can use international payment cards like Visa and Mastercard to send money through the app.

According to the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia, the money would be directly transferred into the recipient’s bank account. From there, the receiver can pick up the cash at the closest bank or transfer it into their CBE Birr Wallet.

The app is available for customers in Canada, Israel, USA, Italy, South Africa, Sweden, UAE, UK, and Saudi Arabia.
Customers can start using the application to send money to foreign countries starting from 5 to 1,000 USD by downloading “EthioDirect” from Play Store or App Store.
